On 30 March – 1 April 2016 in Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland took place International PPP Forum: “Implementing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through effective, people-first Public-Private Partnerships”

The delegation of Ukraine at the Forum included Ksenia Lyapyna, Head of the State Committee of Ukraine for entrepreneurship; Oleksandra Pavlenko, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine; Irina Novikova, head of the PPP division of the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; Stepan Tsapyuk, Mayor of Alexandria of Kirovograd region; Olena Kravchenko, the secretary of the city council of Shostka; Irina Zapatrina, Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian PPP Development Support Center, President of the PPP Academy; Elena Kolesnik, director of the National Cancer Institute.

Ukrainian delegation took an active part in the conference:

- Oleksandra Pavlenko has spoken at the panel session «Capacity building needs and approaches in the public sector» and at the meeting of the Business Advisory Board of UNECE;

- Oleksandra Pavlenko, Irina Zapatrina and Olena Kolesnik have presented project proposals on modernization of  health infrastructure (completion and organization of functioning of the new building of the National Cancer Institute and the new building of Institute of Neurosurgery) on ​​the basis of PPP. These project proposals were included to the list of 30 priority projects implementation of which was recognized by UNECE as important in the context of achieving the Millennium Development Goals till 2030;

- Irina Zapatrina, Stepan Tsapyuk and Olena Kravchenko have spoken at the plenary session «Public-Private Partnerships: A tool to help cities solve their urgent needs», organized by the International Specialist Centre of Excellence on PPPs in Smart and Sustainable Cities, Barcelona, ​​Spain with the presentation on activity related to  development of urban sustainable development strategies in the context of the challenges set by sustainable development goals till 2010;

- Irina Zapatrina has made a presentation at the panel session «Proposed UNECE standard for PPPs in Water Supply and Sanitation» with analysis of the situation on use of concession models in water and sanitation in Ukraine and priorities of implementation of the developed by UNECE standards in this area in the developing economies.

As a result of participation in the conference it was agreed to continue cooperation with UNECE on preparation of PPP projects in Ukraine aimed at ensuring of sustainable development.
