On November 17, 2016 the Chairman of the Board of the Center (President of Academy of PPP) professor Irina Zapatrina has participated in the conference «Transformation of cities into Sustainable and Smart» with presentation «Key issues of city management for ensuring success for PPPs». The conference was organized by UNECE International Center of Excellence “PPPs for cities” in the framework of International Exhibition “Smart cities”

In her presentation Irina Zapatrina has analyzed peculiarities of implementation of PPP projects in regard to state and communal ownership objects in the context of UN Sustainable Development Goals until 2030; underlined importance of support of small and medium-sized cities that initiate and implement sustainable development strategies by international organizations and donor- countries; informed the participants about innovation methodological approaches used by specialists of the Academy of PPP while developing the Strategy of the city of Olexandriya.

On November 3, 2016 in the framework of cooperation of the Center with the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUSPI) for the project "Enhance energy efficiency of the housing stock in Ukraine (EEEU) through energy performance certificates " in the Kiev National University of Technology and Design (KNUTD) it was conducted a round table on the results of the project

Sustainable Development Strategy of city Olexandriya on achievement of Sustainable Development Goals till 2030

On June 2, 2016 the Academy of Public-Private Partnership together with the Ukrainian PPP Center has presented to the executive committee of city Olexandriya the draft Sustainable Development Strategy of the city till 2030.

The presentation was made by prof. I. Zapatrina, Doctor of Economics, President of the Academy of PPP and the Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian PPP Center and T. Tsikhan, Ph.D., a consultant of the Academy of PPP.

The Strategy was developed by the Academy of PPP based on the principles and approaches of the UN Global Sustainable Development Strategy with a focus on achieving Sustainable Development Goals till 2030. The main goal of the strategy is to achieve SDG 11 aimed at transformation of cities into "Smart and sustainable."

The draft Strategy project was supported by the city authorities. As a result of discussions it was decided to establish the Center for management of the city development in the framework of the city executive committee for efficient implementation of measures envisaged by the Strategy.
